Our facilities opened in 1992 under the name of Andres Mayo Mastering. Then in 1994, Andres partnered with mastering engineer Eduardo Bergallo, opening a new facility named Mr. Master (picture). In 2006 it became Andres Mayo Mastering again, with over 3,000 albums and 10,000 singles mastered to date in all available formats, including vinyl, CD, DVD, Blu-Ray and streaming.
In 2014, Andres became President of the Audio Engineering Society and one of his goals was to lead the AES towards Immersive Audio, still under development at that time. He co-chaired the first International Conference in this topic, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in October 2016.
In 2017, Andres Mayo Immersive Audio was created with the purpose of producing and delivering the highest quality of audio in 360 degrees. Since then, a great amount of projects have been completed, including GRAMMY nominated music albums, product presentations, commercial ads, games and podcasts, for top notch clients (HBO, Universal Music Group, Gustavo Santaolalla, Pedro Aznar, Peugeot, Trident, production houses (Pararrayos, Simply Music, Black Out, The Final Cut) and streaming platforms (Amazon, TIDAL, Apple Music)
In our new, fully equipped room we can provide all major delivery formats, including binaural audio (using Ambisonics hardware and software), surround sound (up to 7.1.4 BWAV) and Dolby Atmos. A special paragraph to mention the amazing monitoring system, provided by Neumann GmbH. It’s not just really warm and nice to listen to, it’s also incredibly precise when it comes to positioning sound objects, providing a definitive reference when mixing in Atmos for speakers.
At Andres Mayo Immersive Audio, we are committed to delivering mixes and masters that you can be really proud of. We have the very best available gear, both in the analog and digital world. Top notch outboard includes equalizers, compressors, limiters, de-essers and stereo image enhancers by Shadow Hills, George Massenburg Labs, Rupert Neve, Focusrite, Manley Labs, Weiss Engineering, Z-Systems and TC-Electronic, A/D converters by Dan Lavry and control surfaces by Avid. Software solutions include Dear Reality (we are currently Beta Testers of their latest software), Dolby Mastering Suite and Ambisonics toolkit.
